moved to New Mexico when I was
1/2 a year old, moved to Seattle when I was 2 1/2
years old, moved to England when I was 12 1/2 years
old, moved to Colorado when I was 16.
Started DJing
the moment I was back in the US, and
taught myself everything I know, mostly by listening
to recordings of live DJing. My first techno mix CD
was made using Winamp, a Wave Recorder, and the crappy
Wave Studio that came with my sound card. I sold 100
copies at my high school, which allowed me to buy
DJing gear. Since then I've made two more CDs, with
my fourth in the works.
I'm a college
student at the Colorado School of Mines,
also known as boot camp for engineers, majoring in
Computer Science. I am a brother in the Phi Gamma
Delta fraternity.
I read a lot,
mainly sci-fi and fantasy, and think
Wheel of Time is the best series ever. I know more
about the Star Wars universe than most people know
exists. I play all sorts of video games, although my
favorite are probably RPGs. I enjoy Magic: The
Gathering a lot, and my favorite game is either that
or chess. I am running an Exalted role-playing game
right now.
I spin on two
Numark TT-1520 turntables, one with an
Ortofon, one with the cartridge that it came with
(namely, a very bad one). I also spin with an
American DJ PRO-DJ2 CD spinner. My mixer is a Numark
DM1001X. For a sound setup, I have two Numark M-1
speakers in the main (they came with) and my computer
plugged into the Recording, which has a subwoofer and
four satellite speakers.
I spin trance,
progressive trance, hard progressive
trance, and hard trance. What I spin depends on what
mood I'm in :) Also, I will occasionally drop in
things like Prodigy and Korn in my sets - they really
do work :)
